Wondering about the surface by TheReza13 Wondering about the surface by TheReza13
Hey-yo!

This was a doodle I did during math I think...then I spent a while colouring it. I like having tons of layers for some reason, it makes me think that I really worked hard on something.

I talked to my art teacher about it and she said she liked the underwater effect, so booyah. Also, when I started it, I wanted something other than blue and green, because those are the auto colours for mermaids when I draw them. Soooo instead, I have purple hair and a golden tail. I guess she's a part of royalty, or something.

And the thing she's leaning against was inspired by the thing that Ariel leans against while picking flower petals and the centerpiece for "Under the sea".

Hope you like~!

Oooh, gorgeously soft colours! I love your unconventionally-coloured royal mermaid, and the jellyfish is adorable too :)

Oo, pretty. I like how you did the textures of the background, and those lines of white dots remind me of strings of pearls.

Thanks much! Yeah, the string of dots were at first shiny scales on her tail then evolved into what I thought would just be a shimmer of something. My first thought was bubbles, but pearls sound better.
