The big FIVE OH

I took a picture because I'm afraid to put this through my scanner for some reason.

Okay, my mummy's birthday was on the twenty-sixth and I told her that I owed her a picture, since at the time there was lots of family to entertain. When we come back from the condo, I dig up our watercolours and set to work.

I have never touched watercolours before in my lifetime except once in France when I was, like, seven, painting in a wine glass picture my mum drew.

SOoo...I get random pieces of paper and fiddle around. I fiddle and fiddle and fiddle, and I play around with blues and greens to make something waterlike. Then I made a sketch of a mermaid. Then I kept on going.

I don't know how long it took me, but it took a while. My mum had silver paint so I mixed that in with some colours as well. Because the paper is just normal printer paper, I think putting this through my scanner would mutilate the colours. I don't know if this makes it any better, but if scanning looks better, I'll replace it with that. Later though. I have to hang out with people and brother and family members and friends and I still have to finish a picture I started who-knows-how-long-ago.

Anyways, yeah...I'm pretty proud of it, since I've never used watercolour before. I just outlined it with a Sharpie after I was done.
